Directing, Teaching, & Workshops

Jackson is an experienced acting and musical theatre teacher having taught at several theatre schools. He is a capable director with a unique perspective, who looks to challenge actors of all ages to achieve their best. A workshop with Jackson is an inclusive and engaging experience with a positive environment. Past workshops include Performance in Song, Shakespeare for Singers, and Singing for Actors, as well as weekly classes for individuals and young theatre groups.

As a musical director and vocal teacher, Jackson has worked with ensembles of varying capability to achieve excellent results. Most recently he has musically directed complicated scores both Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet for tours in China.

Music & Text

Jackson started writing when asked contribute a number of scripts for Olive Tree Theatre and arranging music for Chapterhouse Theatre Company (folk songs for small ensembles and vocal arrangements) which lead to composing original music for productions of Jane Eyre and a series of Shakespeare’s s plays.

Since 2019 Jackson has been writing music and songs for a variety of companies. He is currently working on his fourth Christmas musical for Brentwood Theatre which will be staged in December 2025!
